Pulling the motor

I started the tear down and figuring out how to pull the motor. The nose panel was smashed and needed to be removed anyway, so I decided to slide the motor and trans together straight out the front.  To my surprise this actually worked out pretty well.  IMG_7403.thumb.jpeg.01260404bd712c1420d9273b82522b0d.jpegIMG_7400.thumb.jpeg.9d90ec62bfc152ec9288966d01e0c63f.jpegIMG_7399.thumb.jpeg.9dcee5873aaaee4b58bc09f30ba90562.jpeg

This is what I was greeted with after pulling the nose. Part of the frame came off with it. Then I started labeling wiring and tossing the emissions stuff I won’t need.  Then I got the drive shaft and exhaust disconnected.

After pulling the motor I was able to get it off the sub frame so I could use the sub frame to mount the new frame rail accurately.   I did my best to measure to make sure it’s sitting right. I guess I’ll find out on the first drive.
