Pictures of my 70 1600 from today at work!

Man, that is fantastic. What a great looking, all original 1600! Say, what's your VIN? I'm wondering how close it is to my car since mine is (or was) identical.

Here is mine - on one of the two snowfalls we get every decade. The original Nevada shade is lurking under the not-quite-Sahara it has today.

It has since been fixed! I'm waiting on some rubber seals for almost correct flag mirrors and then maybe I'll snap a few more photos.

your new acquisition...

Super car, BTW--and so original! Keep it that way.

Testors model airplane paint #1111 is a nice match for the original blue on the BMW badges when you go to repaint.

If you want to retrofit the original itty bitty mirrors, they are not sided, so you can use the same mirror on either the left or right. They've been NLA for many years, but they do show up for sale on the FAQ. And if you find one with bad or broken glass, drop me an e-mail and I'll send you a column I wrote on how to fit new glass...

cheers
