1968 BMW 1800-2(?) parts car for sale

Saw this on Craigslist today. Not mine.

Did BMW import 1800's to the U.S.?

That's got to be a typo error, should be 1600. 1800 would be a Neu Klasse four door sedan. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 1802 wasn't added to the 02 line until around 71. I had a 75 1802 as my first 02 when I was stationed at Sembach Air Base, GE in the early 80's.

Sure, they imported the 1600, 1800, 1800ti, 2000 and 2000ti, all through Hoffman Motors. Just a few years before the ubiquitous 2002, 2002ti, 2002tii, etc. showed up on these shores.

My dad had an 1800ti back in '66.
