Drag link is hitting trans

I just put the motor/trans back in my car. It is a transplant from an E21, etc with a 5 spd. (The car already had a 5 speed prior to this).

I replaced the old drag link with a 'good' one from my parts car.

The issue is that the link hits the bell housing and when turning right. It hits at about 50% of the travel.

The subframe is from the parts car ( which had a 4 speed ). But this shouldn't be an issue to my understanding.

Any thoughts?
