WTB - Solex side-draft pieces

So I may be picking up some solex side-drafts for a good price pretty soon here, but unfortunately all I'd get is the carbs with no linkages, manifold (they come with one, but it's apparently the wrong one), air box, etc.

Does anybody have what I need to complete the setup? I realize this may be more trouble than its worth, but I'm about to drop a fresh engine into my 75 and I'd like to add a set of side-drafts if possible. If I can get it done cheap, then it gets me past my only real constraint... cash.

Anyway, I'm not looking for a give-away, but if someone has some Solex side-draft bits gathering dust, I'd be happy to put them to work :-)

Hah.

I've been in the same position for XX years.

Choices as I know them to be:

- Buy a kit from aftermarket supplier (mine from Top End) meant for the Webers and modify it. Its a Bowden cable thingee.

- Go to Walloth u Nesch or one of the other German aftermarket suppliers and pay thru the nose for (copies of) the right parts

There is a 3rd option which is to make your own and if you do a search here and have the time, skills and tools it's not rocket science because folks have ginned them out McGyver style...

I just did a search and didn't see any home-cooked manifolds... any chance you remember what you searched and/or can provide links? I'm reasonably sure I can fab something on my own, but I'm slightly dubious as to whether I can make it looks good enough to actually want to stick it on my engine... ha!

Anyway, if you have some additional details, by all means let me know... otherwise I'll take another stab at the old search function.
