i AM ABOUT 95 percent sure I was going to buy this car 1 year plus ago I remember the weird cuts on the carpet in the trunk...the guy would not return my calls to finish the sale...so I moved on and bought my 1600 for alot cheaper. This car it was on consignment at a motorcycle/speciality shop down ther in NJ the guy said the rear seal leaked and that it slipped in 4th going up hills

looks good but overpriced

If an eBay seller cannot spell distributor, and types in all capital letters, I'm instantly suspicious.

Select Classics has a bad reputation for doing OK work at premium pricing. However, $8k is much more in line with what their cars are worth (in my very humble opinion). They try to get over $20k out of some them. Oh, and they like the color inka. A lot. Seemingly all of their cars are painted that color. I would take along a good friend or someone knowledgeable to look at it skeptically. If something doesn't seem right, it probably isn't.

Thanks for the heads up.

I have read some of the posts about 'select classic' Yes I am dissapointed that it came out of that chop shop, but I am going to review it tomorrow and give it my best shot.

Not going to jump the gun ( love inka!, love a roundy, but wanted a TII)

I will check the trunk and the look for the usual the rust suspects.

Any final thoughts to take with me to the test?

Most of the pics on this current Ebay post are the same pics used by Select Classics on their Ebay posting back in 2008 (on ebay from Jun thru' Dec '08).

Other pics are from an Ebay post in Apr '09 by Ebayer "cycleexchange" in Andover, NJ.

I wonder why they couldn't take a few current (new) pics!

great call Les! I do recall back in the fall a car for sale in Andover, NJ! I however thought they also had an Auto Mnt Grn as well if I am not mistaken. ( I remember asking about a 5 spd and he brought up the Auto would make a good conversion)

Still plan on taking the test ride, should be about 100 degrees tomorrow for the ride! Good way to test the cooling system!!

Thanks all again!

Never got to see the car! Owner was out of town on the day we were going to meet.

Looks like it sold on EBAY for just under $8,000

Thanks for all the heads up posts!
