Vintage at Saratoga! (lots of pics)

Recommended Posts

Thanks to Scott Stowell, Frank Greppo, Roger Benson and others, for hosting such a fine event at the Saratoga Auto Museum! Also very nice to Meet Susan, Voit, Andrew and John P.

This was the first year for this event, and I believe 55 Registered cars.

Great hosting! Hope you do it again next year.

Thanks for the pictures, many nice cars!

First time I have seen a Glas in silver.

As that an air cleaner setup under the hood ?

One of these summers I will make it out to Up State New York.

Bizarre that my picture loaded into ifayeoh 's post

yes, evryone had a nice time. Not sure about the 1600 engine compartment & the air ducts... I'm sure someone here knows. The owner is from CT.

Bill W, post some of your pics. You must have some great shots.

That is Axell C's car Joe, he is a super guy. All original and a fresh engine rebuild. Essentially a 1600Ti engine. BMW stuff it inside the Glas GT for one year after purchasing Glas GmBh in 1967. Uber rare cars now as they only made about 1100. Axell also has a matching Glas GT convertible. The long black air duct running from front to cowl is fresh air intake

White, silver and red were the most common colors. Been trying to get him to bring it down south for the Vintage here, he was planning the last two years but things came up

Looks like a nice event I see Jack's turbo and already have an account from him of his drive over :)

The air filter is in the front of the picture. It is like a 2002ti or 2000ti.

I'm pretty sure that the large brown tube the other side of the engine is for fresh air to the passenger compartment.

Not sure what happened to my camera but my first thirty photos just were horrible, here are a few that are worth posting.

A great first year event. Thanks to Frank and Denise Greppo and the rest of the Patroon Chapter for a really neat event

Gary, following the "Monte Carlo" down I-278 and across I-78 was a real treat. Glad to see you and Judy and meet Tom.

Hope to see you in three weeks, same place.
