So what do I have here for a center console?

Here's my original center console. What am I missing and are those square plates holding the radio mount original? I need a new lower center piece that doesn't have a bunch of holes in it.

i am pretty sure the PLATES are not original, fill the holes then cover the entire thing in fresh vinyl. you need one flap on left, and original radio mount and ash tray.

Adding that the plates are not original, but the rest of the unit appears to be!

That eBay console is correct for your car John... Somewhere in here is a picture of one with the radio and speaker mounted... The radio mounts below the ash tray and the speaker angled 45 below that leaving no storage cubby.

The one you pictured in a chrome dash car is specific to chrome dash '66-67 1600-2s, Voll Cabrios and others that use the pre safety naz! padded dashes.
