You might find an ad for the company that made those speaker enclosures. I believe the name of the company was Clover.

Back in the old days there used to be an item that looked very much like that that was made for our cars. If someone with a copy of the early Roundel, the small ones, they were advertised regularly. They were called Clover Enclosures but that was a loooong time ago.
