Do you have a source for those wire holder things?

The closest to what I have (black) can be found online at Mr. Gasket or others.

However, these do not have the metal tabs that hold the mounting plastic clips.

I can't remember where I found mine since they have been on my car for 48 years. I have both white and black clips that twist onto the metal tabs.

Those are an e21 part. Also used on E30 and E28.  Here is the W&N page with these parts, though most are NLA.

Well, that explains it!

I spent a lot of time at Bavarian Motor Wrecking in Oakland collecting all kinds of fun parts from all models of wrecked BMWs. That was back in the late '70s... sure miss that place.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane!!

Mr. Gasket.  Never heard of it.  I'll take a look and see what I can find.  Thanks

I've got a couple of these reproduction stock clamps from W&N.  Just thought those (I guess original E21 wire holders) were very nice.

Good to know that they're original BMW parts and therefore unobtainable.  I've been searching for something like that for years. 😆  Most/all of the new fangled ones I've found online just aren't for me.

I decided to Stay Tubed on my 74tii.  Turned my clamps around so the loom tube is closer to the oil cap this time.  Added wave washers under the standoff bolts so hopefully won't leak oil as much as it used to.  I'm good with it.
