Cylinder Head Shim

Hi,

Does anyone know where to find a "Cylinder Head Shim" for my 70 2002? If i have my cylinder head shaved it will be under specs, so looking for a shim. So i dont have to buy another head.

Any help would be appreciated...

I've heard of people using two head gaskets to alter their engine's compression ratio - would that work in your situation?

I think the proper way to deal with it is to buy a thicker headgasket, not double them up.

MLS gaskets are available in several thicknesses, I'm not so sure about the stock stuff.

Thanks - I didn't know that! I just learned that double gasket trick from working with the early water-cooled VW engines - works well on those.
