engine and drivetrain BMW M10 Engined Race Cars

Been away on bus for a few days, so haven't updated in a while. Of course one of the great things about the 2002 is its power plant - the M10 engine. It is a truly great engine whether it is straight out of the box with a single barel solex carb or the ultimate variant in the form of a Schnitzer or BMW M12/7 twin cam race engine. Many race teams recognized this, one of the most famous being "Chevron" who produced a variety of sports racing cars and F2/F3 chassis. Many chassis manufacturers didn't produce motors to accompany their cars - Toyota, March, Martini, Lola etc., to name a few, but rather used power plants supplied by others (BMW, Ford, Ferrari, ALPINA etc.,). The Chevron B6 GT is an incredible car, seven built, 6 of the 7 powered by BMW M10 2 liter motors. Have a great weekend.

curious as to why the A1 has 115 HP yet it is .5 seconds faster in the 0-60 and 3 seconds faster to top speed.

Way cool Steve. Rare birds for sure, really pricey as well. Sort of remind me in a way of a Ferrari 250 GTO (Except about $8 or so million less, or whatever the heck a Ferrari GTO sells for these days). Don't know what the Chevron's are going for either other than in the several hundreds of thousands. A few years back Gordon Medenica and some other guy in a B8 were dicing it up (B8 to B8) and wiped each other out - drivers Ok (probably not friends any longer) cars came out not so Ok. Amazing for a vintage race to see.
