Verona Red

-Black interior (Recaro type sport seats,new) with Nardi wheel

-One small crack in dash, can't see it

-Non sunroof

-Has A/C

-Still has stock gas pedal and two knobs on floor (not rusted like most)

-#'s matching engine and stock air cleaner with just over 150k original miles on the car. The motor was rebuilt in the mid 90's and not driven much after. I have put 30k on it in the last year and a half with no problems. This Tii has the original 4spd as well

- The body is solid , I replaced the window seals last week. There are only a few spots of bubble rust on the body smaller than a quarter. the floors have a small amount of rust here and there near the floor board nothing structural.

I have all service records going back to the original window sticker and bill of sale when new. I have replaced the clutch slave and master in the the last 3k miles. The water pump was done 2k ago and fresh tires about 4k ago.New pads are going on today 9/2/10. I will email better pictures by request. gregwgc@yahoo.com. There are some guys on the forum that have seen this car. m20curtis has done some of the work for me and has driven the car. IMHO you are selling it for a fair price. It's just that people are not buying.

I tried to sell my Schwarz '76 locally a few months ago. It was the least expensive of four '02's that were on sale at the same time, but still there were no takers. I am going to give it another shot soon. Hopefully I'll have better luck and can then ship the Baur E21 down to the island.

BTW, the other three didn't sell either...

Good luck selling your Tii. Your asking price is very reasonable, i would buy it but i have an ongoing project currently.

Greg brought the car down to the local ChickfilA classic BMW gathering in Winter Park on Saturday. First time at the event... Good casual group of BMW lovers, and some great E28s, E6s, etc.

Greg's 2002 was one of them, and Greg clearly knows his stuff.

Ahead of the inspection he sent over very representative pics and also additional information about the car, setting expectations that the car was his daily driver, not perfect, more of a low end driver.

I was more than impressed with the inspection vs. expectations. Although there are some issues, this is a great foundation for a restoration, or driver with a little bit of effort.

The positives: Great price vs. value, seemed to run well, Original sticker!, stacks of reciepts and documentation, extremely straight panels, good gaps, little rust and from what I can tell no bad repairs (I did not get under car).

The negatives: Rear seats from an Alpha, cheaper but functional front racing seats, A/C brackets failed and sliced unit off to prevent more damage.
