Help w/ Crated Engine Weight Estimate?

I'm in the process of purchasing a used engine and I'm having trouble estimating total freight weight. Has anyone shipped a crated longblock recently and have any details on the shipping weight w/ or without a shipping container? No starter or exhaust manifold but it does have an intake manifold and clutch installed.

Thanks,

Ben

Ben, if you're arranging your own shipping, guess (I mean literally guess) at the lower end of the engine's weight sitting on a skid. I ship engines frequently and if I was filling out a B.O.L. I'd list an m10 as weighing 250#. So maybe the engine and skid actually weighs 275, even 300 lbs...I have NEVER been billed any additional freight charge as long as I've been fairly close. ymmv
