Anybody know where I can get a Bosch 6V blue coil for my 67 1602? I know they're NLA new but I'd like to find a used one in good shape. Thanks.

I would highly recommend you purchase a new coil rather than a used one. Here are some various sources and prices:

The first place I thought of for VW parts is MidAmerica Motorworks in IL, but their 6V coils are on backorder: http://www.mamotorworks.com/acvw-volkswagen-ignition-coils-bosch-1-92-5018.html

Rock Auto appears to have some 6V coils for BMW's, but none are Bosch brand: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php

Sure enough, they have a Bosch 6V coil listed under a '66 VW: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php

A Bosch 6V Blue coil is also available from Airhead Parts (kind of pricey though): http://www.airheadparts.com/prods.asp

By the way, I believe a VW 6V voltage regulator will work on your 1602.
