Getting ready to completely strip then repaint my round 2002, can anyone suggest which colors are most valuable/desirable? TY

what was the original color, Grill? i heard that ford explorer/escort/contour metallic red, and various incarnations of british racing green were fetching top dollar at the monterey auctions in august.

colors are personal, I don't like inka but prefer colorado, and I don't like malaga but I prefer verona, etc, etc Note: I find sahara to be beautiful and chamonix boring... taiga on the other hand is hideous but if I really wanted a cool color I would choose bristol

What's the original color and why not repaint it in that color? I believe in keeping roundies and tii's original. If you want to do a color change, find a big bumper 02. That's just my personal opinion. Are you going to strip the interior and paint that as well? If you have real deep pockets, here's the work involved in properly doing a complete color change on a roundie.

http://www.coupeking.com/product_id-387.html It's much easier to repaint it in the original color.

i don't think anyone's asked this yet - so what's the original color? have you restored a classic car before? why not paint it a non-original color that you like? can't decide? are you an investor? if so, paint it the original color and sell it. if not, paint it a color you like and enjoy it, then spend months trying to find a buyer that likes the color as much as you do.

i think my car is the best color BMW ever offered on the 2002, but that's what it was from the factory and will be as long as i own it. and that has nothing to do with what color you should paint your car. and who gives a F if it's a coveted tii or a "plain jane" spongebob or an automatic bavaria???

looking forward to a well-informed response...???
