A few cars in Northeast Ohio....

first up is a 1975 2002, automatic w/ air 1000.00 OBO- I went out to look at it last night. owner is an older fellow named Hank - super friendly - he has a couple old beetles and a bus that he's restored. This car was his grandson's (one of 3) before he made a track car and moved to Cali. Body is FAIR for a northern car. It needs some body work, especially around the windshield. Paint is terrible. There was a hole in the trunk next to the gas tank and 2 small holes in the driver's door. Shock towers were in good shape though. Not a sunroof car. Car starts and transmission engages. Motor is loud - could just need a valve adjustment or perhaps an entire rebuild. I couldn't tell. the water pump leaks. Single barrel Solex, points and condenser. Needs an interior as well. The kicker is a mountain of spare parts including trim pieces, headlight buckets, tail lights, drive shaft, head, tranny, big bumpers, valve covers, bottlecaps w/ tires, diff and axles, struts, shocks, springs, among other things. You could probably sell off the parts and make your money back, but it IS a project. He also has a car hauler he built that you could probably fit 2 2002's on and he'll make a deal on it w/ the car. I very seriously considered buying this, but don't have the room, and don't really need another project. I'm just selfish because we don't get too many of these in this area.

Second is a 75 2002 up in Cleveland. It's been on here for a few months and the owner hasn't budged on the price. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet, but he says he's got another car available as well.

I like that E12 a lot. Have you seen it? I wonder if it's auto or manual? I think they are very good looking cars. The new ones aren't as well styled imo.
