tires and wheels Anyone running the Vredestein Sprint+ in 165/13?

I'm looking for opinions on the 165TR13 Vredestein Sprint+ Blackwall Tire as I'm considering them for my early alloy 5x13" wheels. Thanks!

The Vredestein Sprint+ is a good tire.

I wouldn't have any reservations to them, except they're fairly spendy compared to other 13's out there. I'm not sure they represent a good value.

Agreed, $80 a pop is a little more, but I'm having a hard time with the notion of "primewell" or "powerstar" - I currently use AvidT4s but I'm planning to move them to a set of Cosmics I'm restoring and keep the vintage skinny tire look on my 1600.

Tire prices are going way up. Runflat's for my MILs E60 sport are $350 EACH!

Hmm... looks like a typical all-season radial reminds me of the Sears Roadhandler. Hopefully the warranty is as good.Is the "T" rating higher than the H rating?

You could always try the Sumitumo HTR200 or the Pirelli Cinturato P5. They about @ $50. That'll save you a buck twenty.

I have the Pirellis and really like them.

In that case, I think I can get by with tires from a powerwheels toy...I think I've eclipsed 80MPH once in my 1600, downhill in a swift breeze, drafting a semi.

Thanks for the chart C. I thought I would look at the donut spare in the wifes 03 Cavalier D rating = 40 mph =scary! I see people using these all the time as regular tires. c`mon spend the 25.00 on a used tire you guys.

tread and overall dimensions look "right" and "good"...in the spirit of the old michelins. but why do they have to make the sidewalls look so ugly with the huge lettering? the other vredsteins, the "sprint classics" look WAY better but i don't think they make them in 13"...plus they are 2x the $$$
