Beautiful car! Why does this picture look so familiar? And I feel that I know the location in the previous pic, too. Do you know where it was taken?

Edd in Sacramento

This car was listed on 2002ad.com a year ago, and I just found it again - as sold:

You will have to scroll down pretty far.

Any good websites for general knowledge/understanding of the cars that you would recommend?

This one!

My father-in-law just purchased a 1975 malaga tii.

Did he buy it for you or himself? Either way, welcome! Use the Search a lot and you'll learn a lot. Ask questions in the forum after exhausting the Search and revel in the library of information here.

Good luck!

It's his, but he isn't very internet savvy. He purchased it via 2002ad which is where it currently is.

Very nice!

I love the combo of the squarie-era styling touches with the chrome bumpers. Something about it I really like.

I also like the Euro lack of side-marker lights. Super clean look to it.

I think one of my 02 books shows that they did make the non-US tiis into '75. So I thought I did see that somewhere before.

Yes, use the search on faq. You don't need to waste your time on finding a better site for the 02...there isn't one. You are in the right place.

Good luck and happy motoring.

I used to have a Sahara 75 Euro spec 1802 when I was stationed at Ramstein Air Base Germany in the early 80's. I tried to duplicate that look on my current Sahara 74 tii.

The only thing left I need to do is get rid of the rear bumper guards and go with the guard less bumpers and put the lights in the rear bumpers. Blunt will no doubt help me with the parts to finish the job. I'll take a square tail light car with Euro bumpers any day over a roundie. The malaga tii is a beautiful car. Now we've just got to get Jim to do the Euro bumper look on his 75 Sahara 02.

gorgeous car. I love it. There can never be too many malagas.

did someone swap the rear 2002 emblem to the 2002Tii? Did it get the wrong badge after re-paint maybe?

Yeah, the guys at 2002ad put the tii badge on when it arrived in the states.

I ran the VIN in the Colombian website that is linked in this forum and it shows it as a euro 75 tii built between Jan 75 - June 75.
