Background:

I bought this 1600-2 in 2006 and the history of the car is not known. When I bought it, the car came from Ontario with California salvage title. I sorted out a number of electrical and mechanical issues in order to get an Ohio rebuilt title. I have continued to work through some mechanical issues in order to make it a fun and reliable driver. Built in January of 1967, this is one of the earliest surviving sunroof 02s. The only earlier sunroof car that I am aware of is a ’66 in the BMW Museum.

It seems that the '66 in the BMW museum is actually a '67.

So, 1515129 could be the earliest surviving sunroof 02. Pretty neat.
