Is the color code stamped on any part of the car? I learned from Andreas Harz (sp?) that my '76 siennabraun '02 originally came in a different color, which I am trying to verify; I see no evidence of the previous color (pastel blue) on any of the metal surfaces.

Just trying to learn something about the back history of my car. I would think that to do a repaint leaving no traces would be a major operation.

Look deep under the dash for the original color(s).

Do you have a sunroof? Sometimes old color is evident in that area, look up from the inside.

No sunroof. Looking under the dash is a good idea; I'll have to go out to the garage tomorrow. But having recently replaced my instrument cluster, I think I would have noticed differently colored metal. I'm starting to wonder if the information was faulty. ...

Andreas occassionaly makes mistakes, especially with build dates. Send another request.

I had always thought my '76 Beater (Flat Black/White) was originally Verona. Mr. Harz informed me it was Pastelblau.

When I was putting in a new carpet the inside colour was a pale blue but I had thought that was probably a base colour. Now I know different.

Whoever painted it Verona did a good job.
