to pay approx three hundred to have their bumpers retchromed. This price would include the entire set of front and rear bumpers and overriders.

I spoke to one chromer todayand his best offer was 150per bumper for two stage and thats only all the prep work os done and the only thing left to do is dip the bumpers.

It requires removing sllof the dents, sanding offall the old chrome and rust and polishing the bumpers

Two stages? I believe good quality chrome is three stages (copper / nickel / chrome) ... and it usually requires lots of buffing and polishing to get it right (with many layers of copper).

yes there are two different tecniques two stage and three stage...the three stage involves a layer of copper wheteas the stage does not have the copper layer...that would be fifty extra per bumper

...anyway sounds like way more work than it os woryh
