1971 BMW 2002 - $5500 (Fullerton)

up for sale is my 1971 bmw 2002. i had my fun with her but she needs someone who can take good care of her.

the good:

had the engine gone though by bavarian autotechs in anahiem

had the brakes rebuilt by lee and sons in fullerton

has the original sport rims and new tires installed

replaced the all the shocks and did the alignment

has the front suspension from a 320 i

has all the trim pcs.

body is pretty straight and the paint is still in good shape

interior is also pretty clean

the bad:

no wiper motor

no heater core

price is firm.

Has anyone checked this one out yet? Even though the price is off, I've decided to see the condition and whether or not the price could be brought down. Here's the reply to the email I sent:

The interior is alright. When I got it it had beige interior with brown seats in back. It came with Ricaro's but they're torn. They do have the "BMW" emblem on the side of them. Since I got it I dyed the carpet black and put seat covers on the seats. I left everything else stock. It's got some rust at the bottom of one of the doors and on the moulding at the bottom of the rear window. I'll send pix of those. I tried to get a wiper motor and heater core at first when i got the car but haven't even tried lately so I don't knoe how hard/easy it'll be. I don't know about the engine or trans ever being rebuilt. I know that it has a newer head on it from a 320i. I can tell you that you can't speed shift into 1st cause the syncro is worn. The milage is 34,000 but don't know if it's been around the dial already. As far as the price, ya pretty firm. Maybe $5400?

Yeah and if that synchro is bad I can't afford to rebuilt the tranny.
