tii vent hose - is it supposed to have a hole?

All,

I recently purchased a vent hose to use from my valve cover to air cleaner on my megasquirt installation. I am using the early e-21 manifold.

I purchased a vent hose to connect to the air filter. I noticed it has a hole in it. Does anyone know if that is supposed to be there? It potentially could allow unfiltered air into the air box.

Thanks

Yes. On a tii installation, there's another part (a plastic nipple) that snaps into that hole. Then a little rubber or silicon hose connects the nipple to a little brass tube that comes out of the side of the tii throttle body.

You can get the plastic nipple through Blunt. www.blunttech.com

It's efficient and water conservation seems to be a permanent reality in our perpetual drought and ever increasing demand for water.
