My Mom used to have one of those, except that it was a 1971 IIRC and thus had a 1500 engine instead of a 1800. Same Bristol-ish color. I remember it being quite comfortable inside and, compared to other Japanese cars of the era, it was beautifully styled.

I read somewhere that the body design was initially offered by Bertone to Alfa Romeo. They decided against it, so Bertone sold it to Mazda.
