Odometer is not showing 125k, and the bottom end of the motor is believe to be factory and never rebuilt. Whatever the case, it ran amazing when I drove it home a few months back.

Probably not showing 125k now, the ad was 19 years ago.

Good luck with the sale.

Given your geographic location, you might have better luck by posting lots of detailed pictures here. I'm not sure how many people would make the trek based on an older photo taken before disassembly. The need for extensive bodywork can be the death knell for lots of would-be restorers. Just a thought.

>As for the miles on the body... I dont know, who really cares?

Everyone cares. 78k original miles is quite a statement about a car's condition.

Not to say your asking price is too high for what you have, but you haven't shown anyone what you have. It would be in everyone's best interest for you to post-up some detailed pics.

Good luck w/ the sale.

Also.. where on earth did you come up with that anyways, do you remember seeing it in some magazine 19 yrs ago??

It wasn't "some magazine" it was the BMW NA Car Club magazine - Roundel.

You have noticed that the odo only has 5 numbers? If it's still working then maybe it's gone around once to 178k. 50k in 19 years is pretty good.
