Stumbled across two 700s yesterday

Still haven't seen one of these up close. I've seen so many other rare BMW's, but the 700 eludes me.

NOT MANY 700's FOUND THEIR WAY TO NORTH AMERICA .

THE ISETTAS WERE GONE AND THE '02s WERE YET TO COME .

PITY . THE 700 WAS A NICELY DEVELOPED CAR THAT HAD A LONG

HISTORY OF RACING SUCCESSES WITH MANY NOTABLE DRIVERS BEHIND THE WHEEL .

THEY HAVE ALWAYS STOOD IN THE SHADOWS OF THEIR BIGGER BRETHREN

AND NOT MANY OUT THERE ARE BEING RESTORED .

EXCEPT FOR AN AWKWARD SHIFTER MECHANISM , THEY ARE A BLAST TO DRIVE WITH HANDLING YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM A BMW .

GREAT CARS & I FOR ONE WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE OF THEM BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE .

First you show some E9's rusting away - which I would love to have the resources to restore. Now - you show some 700's doing the same, which I would also love to restore.

What next? A 507 rusting away.

The bright red 1960 700 is super! It would cause a sensation at Vintage.
