engine and drivetrain tripping over another 2002 with tii engine

I dont agree with it but alot of restorers will mill the old number off and punch in the correct motor #.

That car has tii mtr 2761188.

It was, supposedly, running 7 years ago.

Les - you continue to amaze me with your BMW archives. I haven't looked up any of the VIN's in the 2002 registry.

There was a '74tii there that was only a shell but it still had the Behr A/C fan and radiator in the nose.

LOL... I must blame my excellent Sales Rep. He was driving me around for two days visiting customers in GA. I'm just glad I missed the crazy snow/ice storm we had around here. It took some folks up to 13 hours to get home Wednesday night.

Too bad I cannot stumble across a "protected" complete early tii. Maybe I should contact Jay Leno for his help ;-).

I am waiting for a response from the place. Doubtful any complete cars are for sale. Will keep you posted.

Yeah I totally understand. If you don't mind, shoot me an email once you have word on your car. Completeness isn't really a huge concern for me, I have parts coming out of my ears, I just like putting them back on the road.

This was just a hobby, but it's turning into a monster.

If the same person who had these 6~7 years ago still has them.....I know who he is, AND, where he is.

My '67 1600-2 Red is 1530962 and the 2 liter motor that Dad got from a friend happened to be 2530962..... If anyone can explain that please do.

By the 253xxxx VIN of that Tii'd '02 it was originally an Automatic.
