lost key steering locked

I lost the key to a 71. 02. I want to change cylinder and kill the steering wheel lock. Any simple way to do either. Please I m slow. Keep simple. Lol

Directly under the ignition tumbler/cylinder, you should see a small pinhole. Its at the six o'clock position. With a small drill bit, drill into this hole. It pushed out a roll pin that holds the cylinder in. From there, it should be loose, an you can pop it out. To put a new one in, pop it in and then use a small sheet metal screw to secure it through the hole you just drilled through. Also, its good to have the cylinder in the "O" position while doing this, if possible.

the steering wheel is locked, simply remove a door handle and take that to a locksmith (presuming they're the original locks that work with the ign key). And make a couple of spares so this won't happen again!
