I searched, I swear, I found one thread with a chart of specs. I did not see rod torque specs. kick me in the balls first, thats fine, then if you also have an answer while I am doubled over thats even better.

The blue factory manual states:

Main Bearing Caps - 42-46 ft/lbs

Big End Bolts - 38-41 ft/lbs

Of course this is for factory fasteners. If you are using ARP, follow manufacturer's recommended torque settings.

Hope this helps...

. If you are using ARP,

If you are using ARP rod bolts for standard rods,

PLEASE tell us how you got them.

Pretty please?

No rochambault needed.

They are not available as far as know, but Nick didn't indicate that he was using stock rods and I wanted to cover the bases.

Which one is the "blue book" ? I have the Haynes, the Macartney Guide (it's cover is blue) and the "Service Manual" in pdf form. The pdf isn't blue, but I think it might be what you're referring to.

thoughts & clarifications?

Matt
