1970 2002 with Alpina parts ends up in Switzerland

A very nice 2002 with many Alpina parts that was for sale in the Bay Area and advertised here on the FAQ and then on Bring a Trailer, has ended up in Switzerland. Great to know that it is going to a good home, but sad to see it leave the West Coast.

It is sort of a bummer to see "stuff" leave, but it is what it is - quite honestly if I lived somewhere that had currency that was worth something (as opposed to our effed up USD that is worth what about .07c on the dollar) I would be doing the same thing. 99.9% chance of my ALPINA car heading that way when it is sold (not sayin I am selling it, just saying no doubt it would end up in Europe). Huge early Porsche attrician as well.

I liked that car as well, looked like a very fun ride and a nice history as well. Anyone know what it went for? $17500 was mentioned?
