FWIW - Car is actually a 1976 model, not a 1975 model. Vin # 2371299 caught my eye because it is very close to the vin of my '76. Both cars were manufactured in 9/75 = 1976 model, as Sept. was (is ?) BMWs first month of production for new model year....Sept. '75 - Aug. '76 = 1976 model yr. Regardless, that car looks to be in pretty good shape, at least from the pictures, to have never been restored.

I did notice that stock '76 exhaust manifold had been replaced with an aftermarket header (w/out emissions attachements). Wouldn't that be a problem in CA...or have those CA emissions standards been relaxed?

good eye tim, yes that would be a problem as smog standards have not been relaxed here in cali. which is why i sold my 76. i would think the seller needs to disclose this to buyer, otherwise buyer beware.
