Running Air Line in Garage

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to run some air lines for my compressor in my shop space. Anyone have any tips? I was thinking of going with 3/4" L copper. Is this overkill? Should I just go 1/2"? I'll probably be running 25' or so.

I know a lot of guys who run their shops PVC. I have a 3/8" hose reel and I need more air than that. If you can afford it I would say go for it. The more air the happier the tools usually are!

Colin,

Just make sure you have a dryer to keep the moisture out of the metal lines. We have hundreds of feet run all over work in copper lines and it works very well, but in the winter going form cold to hot area in our production area, we get a bit of condensation. Especially in the long runs.
