71 VIN and a 6 fuse box?

early '71's were the same as '70's. Midway through they switched pretty much everything to the '72 spec but kept the stupid seatbelts from early cars...

Hi Ray,

I believe the switch over to 12 fuse began with the introduction of the "model 71" in Apr '71. Long sided rear bumpers etc.

2572070 should have been the first 12 fuse.

That info is correct. Mine is an early 71 that was built in February of 71 VIN #2570460. This vehicle is NOT a 67. It has to be an early 71. Shame how it ended up. BTW mine was purchased is San Diego. April was the beginning of the 12 fuse cars and long bumpers.

Heh. I never kept track of that. Always thought the 6 fuse boxes were rather early cars.

Thanks,

Ray
