WTB:2002 good running and driving DD/project $2000 to spend!

Im look for a 02. I have $2000 to spend. Good running, shifting. 5speed would be nice. DD/project. Little rust. Looking to build on the inside(carpet, seats, no back seat is OK, and paint myself. Im in Southern California. I will travel for the right car!!!

$2000 will get you a 45/100 condition project car on a normal day. On a good day, $2500 MIGHT get you what you are looking for, but you need to keep digging my friend. Dig deep!

May I suggest saving maybe $6000 and buying a really decent car that you wont need to work on so much. Trust me, 2 years down the road it will be worth the investment.

I figure that, for $2K, you could be able to get a decent '76 one. However, you would still have to smog it in CA, which would be a hassle.

Here's a '76 needing some TLC, but with a couple of upgrades, for $1600.

keep saving, but dont stop looking. it took me quite a while to fine one, but i ended up with a '72 tii that i paid $100 bucks for. it needed alot of work but im planning on having it running this weekend. im sure itll be worth the work and wait
