Does a 1971 2002 have a one or two barrel intake manifold from the factory? I have had a nibble on my Weber carb 32/36 from a 1971 2002 owner. Will possible buyer need a newer manifold???

ASK THE buyer TO LOOK AT THE CARB oN THE CAR NOW

BECAUSE it could be an original single-barrel, or a 2-barrel

carb(SOLEX)

only the buyer can confirm what is on the car now because

in 40 years - anything could have been changed

and no one here can assume what it has.

NO!!!! My question was how was the 1971 2002 equipt from the factory??? My question has nothing to do with modifactions done since the car rolled down the assembly line. Evidently reading is not your forte either!

but might need a DIFFERENT manifold, depending upon what he has on his car CURRENTLY, as suggested. My '70 came with a single-barrel Solex = helpful?

I'm surprised you didn't want us to phone you with a reply vs. using your e-mail machine.

Originally, 71's were equipped from the factory with single barrel carburetors..... the 2 barrel carbs showed up mid '72 model year, can't recall the VIN changeover off the top of my head right now. Though, I'd bet Mike Self can. :)

I'm not surprised -

I meet all sorts coming in to my showroom daily

it's truely amazing -

I hope the buyer and seller both get what they want

and they're both happy with the transaction

hmm... must be watercooled... all the aircooled guys I know have

much lower blood pressure...

I didn't answer either- if you're asking for something, standard etiquette around here

does seem to imply that you don't get to yell at people for offering

up something for nothing, even if it's not what you asked for.

Altho... while his/her presentation certainly fails the 'minimum politeness'

standard, the point's valid- the question certainly wasn't answered the first few

times around.
