Is it time to get the Polizia involved?

(themed police race car, as seen at recent VARA race weekend in central California... T, imagine see THAT in your rear-view mirror) -KB

There was a Police themed Ford Crown Victoria at a Thunder Hill LeMons race a few years ago. It got crushed by the Peoples' Curse because nobody liked getting chased by a cop car....

Our Italian branch office has a few Alfa Giulia Polizia autos painted like the originals were. What a great flick The Italian Job was. The original, not that "Marky Mark" filth.

Like either of these... Found in this AlfaBB thread: http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/sedan-1963-1974/146020-polizia-giulia.html

If it were a Null Zwei it should be painted like this. Anything else is against our religion. :)

Oh, and yes das 1971 BMW 2002 originally equipped with has a single barrel Solex carburetor. The 2 choke vergaser was optional in European market 2002s starting in the middle of 1972 model year, standard in the USA market then. Sorry for mein poor English.

Kindest Regards,

If you gave me a Giulia I would love it and drive it daily.

If I was actually thinking about BUYING one, I'd bash my head

against a cement wall until I regained my senses.

Giulia means 'rust' in Italian.

Giulietta means 'pretty rust'.

Fabulous cars. For people who have less common sense and more free time than I

the 1972 model year at approx VIN 25837xx IIRC, so all 71s and most 72s have 1 barrel setups. Only the last thousand or so 72s have two barrel carbs.

cheers

Does that mean that there were some 12- fuse cars running around

with single Solexes? Funny, I thought all that changed at the same time...

...but I never gave it that much thought...

Quite a few in Europe. My Nov '73 build Touring only came with a single barrel carb.

Euro Autos had the two-barrel carb I think.

Yup, I believe the 2bbl was only optional in Europe all the way to the end of production.
