Happy 27th Anniversary to Klaus - Younger Brother of Otis

This is Klaus. He is Otis' younger (and much less colorful) brother. This week is our 27th Anniversary together. I am the original owner, having brought him home 27 years ago tomorrow. Klaus only has 105,000 miles on him, and he still runs perfectly. Absolutely the best-driving, best-running car I have ever owned - hands down. He is un-restored; that's the original paint.

For our anniversary, I'm taking Klaus to Williamsburg, Virginia, tomorrow. I will try to take some pictures. Sorry for the crappy nature of these pictures - this is a cell phone camera, and besides, Brad Day I ain't.

And yes, there is a massive stereo in the trunk.

Picture 1 is the Williamsburg Winery. If ever someone were to revive a vintage-at-vineyards setting, what a great venue, this place ... lots of room, and they are car-show friendly (Corvette show next weekend)!

Picture 2, cruising down I-64 at 78 mph, at 2400 rpms and getting 28 mpg. Ah, the eta engine ... purrrrrs .... And yes, that's the expired inspection light, needing a reset. Stupid feature. Can't find my reset tool ...

I love this car ... why they never held their values ... who knows. The major difference between Klaus and Otis? Wherever and whenever I drive Otis, he draws lots of waves and thumbs up. All day yesterday, not a single person paid any attention to Klaus. To borrow from my other thread - Klaus simly is not a Frau magnet.
