If that kind of infrastructure spreads then the car can be very successful. I've heard of companies taking that money out of people's paychecks to offset the charging cost. It's under 50cents an hour though. Beats the $40 filling up my 02 every week!

Drive one of those things for a week and tell me if it's still worth it. I used to have an '08 prius, pretty boring little thing. I'll be honest though, I don't know how it compares to the Leaf.

And with all the rolling blackouts and electric bills, you won't even notice you're at work! Energy isn't free, and the grid is already overtaxed in many areas, specifically those areas where more people will buy electric cars.

He's not a tree hugger as he has an Audi TT, Avalanche, Chevy PU Diesel, Citroen DS21 Pallas and a Citroen 2CV.

His first charge today while attending a builder's trade show at the L.A. Convention Center. 12 bucks to park but zero for the charge . . .

Yes she did. We're not hippies one bit either, mom still has her Infiniti G37, and we also have 3 classic cars. But the leaf is a good way to get around without spending money on gasoline.
