vin numbers on 2002

Hi guys,

I am new to the group, and was just wondering if any skilled folks out there might be able to tell me where are all the vin numbers on a 2002.

I am curious as to when someone says "matching numbers" what those numbers would be (besides motor and title).

I know 4 places, the VIN number on the plate in the engine compartment, a tag on cover in front of the steering wheel, the number stamped on a machined flat on the back passenger side of the engine block and of course the title. I replaced the foam insulation on the firewall behind the engine in my car and seems like I may have seen a number stamped on the body behind the insulation, can't swear to it however. I'm uncertain if BMW was tagging underbody panels at that time.
