the spring on my wife's 73 tii has once again flung itself to the pavement. I tried the local 02 specialist (nate smith) but was told the part is NLA. (spring is located under the intake manifold and is quite long)

I've got a few misc springs from hardware store to do a temp fabrication. but I'm looking for a long term fix. the last short term spring lasted a few months.

there has got to be some part that will fix this for good, or a used one at least. my wife has difficulty returning the GO-pedal w/ her toe!

thanks

Hi,

the GO pedal actually has 4 return springs

on it. so if the pedal is not going back by itself

then the pedal box is probably binding on the pedal

shaft or the block linkage point may be the culprit.

check both. as for the spring, use a plastic zip

tie on the engine side so you don't loose any more

and just find a spring that is relativly slack in

it's strenght.

good luck
