I have known about this poor P 1800 for years. A hermit hoarding lady has it out in the woods. Just took the shots yesterday and it is worse than I remember.

just wondering, did you bead blast the valve cover and intake to get it looking like that?

Yep! bead blasted. I took them off to replace hoses anyway and it seemed a no-brainer. Everything I've removed from this car to repair gets blasted to bare metal, etch primed and then repainted before re- installation.

I'm going for the "rustiest non-rusty" car of all time award.

The exterior paint? Who cares! :^D

My car has a similar paint job. One thing I did do was detatch all of the trim, clean it up and then re-attach using the stainless t-bolts from FAQ'r RIMSPOKE. At least those won't rust

Cut the tree above and below the bumper, do a mechanical resto on the car and leave the bumper as is.

OR

Detach the bumper from the car and let the tree continue to live.

Yeah the trip up Lassen to 8K feet? was some good times. Thanks for putting it all together. Snow pack of greater than 5 feet still, nice.

32 was real nice, but I got stuck behind of all things a horse trailer.

The e21 trailer has a meger 101 ponies as evident by the two 2002's that passed me and the slower traffic on 32.

Some day soon I'll have my turbo all put together.
