Are these for a '71 or older? Sign me up for needing a set.

My 2002 was manufactured on September 15th, 1971 and delivered on October 22nd, 1971 to the BMW importer Hoffman Motors Corp. in New York City. The original colour was Granada, paint code 023. It was sold on New Years Eve December 31st 1971.

I have nice driver quality one that I would trade for a pair of ratty ones. A bit of chrome has flaked off on one side, but overall it's pretty nice. I'd like to find a well used set for my '67. I'll post it under Parts FS/Wanted. Good luck on your search.

Try eBay Germany (ebay.de) and search for Stoßstangenhorn. There are a couple on there now that are cheap (for starters anyway). I've found it's wise to ask the seller first if they are willing to ship to the USA and how much shipping would be.

See: http://shop.ebay.de/bibelskirch/m.html?_trksid=p4340.l2562

I haven't done this with BMW parts yet, but for many years I bought classic Mercedes-Benz (heckflosse) parts this way. Once I had a relationship with a particular seller I would usually just skip eBay and email a request. It was never an issue that I don't know German; the sellers always found a way to answer me in English.
