update...steve called me at work...said he put a fresh battery on the car, primed the carb and she fired right up...no smoke, etc...he said he drove about a mile and it runs & sounds great...

i'm a happy camper...thanks andy and thanks marc for building the car

one, I did some measuring years ago and discovered the back several inches of a Rabbit pickup truck cab will fit nicely to the front portion of a 2002 roof with not a lot of sheet metal work. That would make an '02 pickup look more like a pickup than an Aussie Ute.

mike...no pickup out of this one...we already have the pickup andy built...this one will remain convertible...what i was referring to was building some type of removable hard top...as it sits, there is no top of any kind on the car...it was built without a top included

His wife caught on and now she has 3 BMWs and he has none.
