320i Rear Drums Upgrade 80-83 only?

Just purchased a 76 2002 and have decided to be a little less adventurous for now as I was planning a M20 swap and have decided to go from small to big. I was looking at a 320i rear drum swap and read that its from a 80-83 only but when i call looking for parts they h ave them as far back as 77. Will those late 70's work as well? Does it matter or should i stick with looking for an early 80's?

When I ask for the rear drums, I want everything, right? From the back plate to the drums? Including the brake cylinders, and clips, screws, (hardware) or would you recommend buying new?

80-83 is for the front spindles off a 320i for front big brakes for a carbed 2002. Rear drums should be exactly the same all the way through.

Awesome! I was reading both and thats is where my confusion must have been plannng on the "Big Brake" job after the rear. Looks like Im off to the junk yard!
