Interior Finished

I do not post a lot but I have finally finished the interior on my early `69 2002 and thought I would share some photos. Carpet is GAHH square weave, seats repaired with good used Tobacco basketweave vinyl, three piece dash replaced with donor parts from FAQ members, radio is Blaupunkt stereo rebuilt into 4x45W by Turnswitch.com (not yet hooked up), Polk speakers, seatbelts from Bluedevils. Goal, as with my coupe, is to keep it as close to original as possible, I am only the second owner. Motor is freshly rebuilt and car has ~135K miles. Now all I have to do is enjoy driving it.

Very nice indeed. Could you post a few close-ups of the carpet fitting into the tricky areas? What was your impression of the fit and finish of the GAHH kit? My understanding is they are very highly thought of. My non-GAHH kit is decent but I've never been overly thrilled with the way it fits.

Grover,

Quality is excellent, only issue I had was fit on driver side. Gas pedal opening was offset but they replaced it. I think they used a later pattern in error, those with the trans tunnel covers would have a narrower floor. I had to find the front floorboard panels which my car would never have had to get the fit just right.

I found some used rear seat covers through the FAQ three years ago. The back went onto my rear upright, the bottom was used for my driver and passenger seat bottoms which were ripped. Local shop sewed them in for me. I also got some used material from Paul Cain when he was restoring his Tii which is now sold. I will take a few more pics shortly.
