The 289 convertible has not been started for about 18 months. Because I was not driving it and was still restore him. The battery was scavenged for the wives coupe. Well i just went and got him a new battery put it in and click, click, click. Called Fairfax auto for a solenoid, dropped it in and 1,2,3 purring like a kitten.

I'll work on this one over the winter. That 289 does not have a drop of oil under it after basically sitting for 6 years and started maybe once a year and this is the first time it didn’t turn over right away

MY DAD BOUGHT A '65 MUSTANG IN 1970 AND WE ALL LEARNED TO DRIVE

IN THAT CAR .

IT WENT TO MY OLDER BROTHER WHEN THE TIME CAME AND HE DROVE THE WHEELS OFF OF IT .

WHEN HE SOLD IT A FEW YEARS AGO , IT WAS PRETTY BEAT UP WITH 375,000 MILES ON IT .

THE ENGINE WAS REBUILT A COUPLE OF TIMES BUT THE 3 SPEED FORDAMATIC TRANSMISSION HAD NEVER BEEN OUT OF THE CAR !

WHY CAN'T THEY BUILD A CAR THAT DOES THAT TODAY ?
