Specific year and Model BMW 1600-2 or 2002 roundie, 1968 .

There is only one of these BMWs out there that has non-maching VIN #s that is off by one digit, 156... or 155...

BMW Factory Mistake on the chasis VIN # and is very rare, Hoping that the car was not destroyed

New York shipped in February 1968 and then to we think California.?

Restored or not buyer in Germany will pay up to $120K for the car depending on condition....

Thanks for the help

The 1968 BMW 1602 was completed in Pasadena back in July 2011, the car showed at the Cal Vintage Show , The vehicles VIN # 1562160 and 1662160

the vin # is off by one digit on the frame and not the engine tag. Waitingfor rsponse from buyer in Germany, the price tag was $120,000 less shipping costs, Insurance etc.

The car was found dead!! in a Salvation Army Lot in Pasadena for sale for only $500 "talk about a barn fined!!!"

Details : This 1600-2 was completely restored from ground up, 2 motors for the car a '76 02 motor and the original engine a 1.8l two sets of rims, original hub cap steel rims 13" with matching spare tire: 14" BBS mesh rims

At the So Cal Vintage Car Meet no one seemed to care!!!

Kinda funny!!!!

And th4 last cl link shows up at $15,000.

Well, the first one i posted was just that $120,000 i even have a reply email confirming $120,000. Maybe it was a major typo on his/her end.

And a penny under the rear seat, sorry, not believable. A mismatched VIN does not add value just uncertainty about origin in my opinion.

Im guessing its that they are thinking its like a rare misprinted Elvis Stamp, or a rare Penny with Lincolns face the other facing the other way.
