tii wanted for California Auto Museum

The California Automobile Museum in Sacramento will be starting a very interesting exhibition on October 1 - "Wundercars". All through May of next year, key models from different German manufacturers will be on display:

They are still looking for the following:

- 2002tii (I would give them mine, but they have my Opel GT already, and I need a car)

- Bavaria

- 1995-2001 BMW Z3/M coupe/roadster

- 1982-1984 Volkswagen GTI

They need some of the cars to start arriving next Tue-Thu to prepare for the opening next Friday (9/30). The exhibit runs until May 12, 2012, but you are not required to leave your car at the museum until then.

So if you have one of those and don't need it for 2 months - longer or shorter can be negotiated (excellent free winter storage !!!), let me know. My email: deetman@sbcglobal.net

There is/was a super nice Black Rabbit GTI on BaT recently. It's changed hands a few times, but was once displayed in the VW Museum.

Is the car secured so that people can't go up to it and f**ck with it / touch it? I'd be afraid of loosing my wiper arms or "super rare" flag mirrors. ;-)

i don't suppose they'd be interested in displaying my rust-bucket POS 72tii that could exhibit what happens when salt meets unprotected metal? it's mostly all original.... AAA would have to move it though.

They said the display is "Wundercars"...could be a "wonder" that your car is even running?

I'd display my car, but they'd have to change the drip pan daily.
