Another Scheel Mann question

Other than the badge, what other markings are there to verify they are Scheels?

I have a set of Scheels that have been reupholstered and the badges on the front section are not there. I searched for any other stamp or part number but couldn't find anything...

Any help appreciated

The tilt mechanism and their plastic covers on those seats looks just like the ones on a set of Scheel seats that I have. On one of the sets of Scheels that I have, there were some paper tags under the seat bottom where the straps are that identified them as Scheel seats and gave a model number. Those are some nice looking seats,

Seats are Scheel or ASS type 201 to my opinion. They are definitely not Scheel-Mann because of the old-style hinges.

I´m still collecting the infos but as far as I know now Scheel started producing seats in late 60s in or near Stuttgart. In early 70s (72-73?) one found a new adress for "SCHEEL Schalensitze GmbH" and that was in Karlsfeld near Munich. From 75 to the beginning 80s adds and catalogues were always signed with the names of two companies: "scheel-Schalensitze GmbH" and "ASS Auto-Sport-Spezialsitze KG", both in Karlsfeld. Only ASS made the 203 model, all other models one could buy with both logos ASS and Scheel (at that time no other visible differences as far as I found out). In early 80s there must have been some division because from then on one found "ASS Autosport-Spezialsitze GmbH & Co. Vertriebs KG" in Karlsfeld and "Scheel-Mann-Sitze" in Ditzingen-Heimerdingen near Stuttgart. As far as I know ASS was bought by a dutch guy who still runs the company nowadays. Scheel-Mann was bought by Greiner GmbH in 1988 (I spoke to the owner of the company Siegfried Greiner) and they are also still producing sport seats.

On seats of your style you should find a metal plate like this (photo taken of some original E21 Alpina B6 2,8 seats):

If seats are redone (yours look like) people mostly do not put on the metal shields again. Originally can be found on the back of the bottom frame in the green marked area:

Those appear very similar to mine, which I understood to be factory option in Europe.
